Seaside Storm

Photography is our great passion, but it’s not always easy to be a photographer. Recently it’s been nothing but heavy rains in Constanta, and in the middle of this downpour, while cozily sitting at home, we realized that was the perfect time to go out and take photos. Said and done. We got in the car, I took a few plastic bags, cameras, a long scarf and a small hat, and we left hoping that we will manage to catch a few nice shots.

We didn’t imagine for one second that the weather was so bad. We were heading to the harbor, to take some photos of waves on the pier. We didn’t reach the pier because we stopped at the Casino. It was extraordinary what was happening. The sea was black, like its name, with foamy crests, and it was so furious, like I’ve never seen it before. Waves breaking on the alley in front of he casino, on the casino walls, everywhere. I wrapped the camera in plastic bags, pulled some scotch tape over it, just to be sure, and decided that we need an underwater cover or something 😀

We got out of the car and in less than 2 minutes we were already soaked to the skin. But it was too late to get back in the car. With no model who would love to pose, I said that I would sacrifice myself, so I posed, quietly, on a railing and waited for Stefan to take pictures, while the angry waves were breaking at my feet (and occasionally on my feet). A bit later a wave managed to break on my back and get me wet from head to toe. But it was worth it.

I didn’t know what came out, until we got home. So, long story short, I’ll leave you with pictures. I hope you enjoy them:)

Ne-am suit in masina, am luat cateva pungi de pastic, camerele, o esarfa lunga si o palariuta, si am plecat in speranta ca vom reusi sa prindem cateva cadre dragute.

Dar era prea tarziu sa ne intoarcem in masina.
